To Jennifer Vick, Being on the Sidelines Doesn't Mean You Are Out of The Game... The Fashion Game.
Vick, a Maryland resident, spent years watching her sons, Porter, 16, and Mason, 17, play lacrosse. During games, she noticed more and more girls playing the sport. However, they often played games and practiced wearing “boys” lacrosse clothing.
Since the fit was terrible and the clothes were not relevant to women lacrosse players, Vick recognized the opportunity. She saw the lack of lacrosse-style clothing and gear suited for girls and even mothers watching the games. So, despite zero experience in retail and design, Vick founded LAX SO HARD®, a new lacrosse clothing line that aims to give girls, boys and even their parents fashionable and functional lacrosse apparel that fits. Named after her family’s game-day rally cry, LAX SO HARD brands include colorful tanks and t-shirts, patterned shorts, hats, socks, arm warmers and more.
